In the upcoming movie 'Bel Ami,' Christina Ricci has the opportunity to make out with everyone's favorite vampire, Robert Pattinson. And Pattinson's skill at locking lips doesn't disappoint, she said on 'The Rachael Ray Show'.
"He's a good kisser. It's true. It's true," said Ricci. "And he's a lovely human being also. He reminded me of my best friends' little brothers growing up. He's just, like, a silly, fun guy. We laughed a lot. He makes fun of himself all the time. He's adorable."

Summary: In Belle Epoque-era Paris, a former French soldier from the lower class returns from Algeria and becomes a journalist. Through a series of affairs with well-connected women, he uses his looks and smarts to make his way up the social ladder.
Analysis: Though sharing the same name as Europe's most prestigious hardcore gay porn studio, a fact that made many a headline writer's day when "Twilight" hunk Robert Pattinson was cast, the film is actually an adaptation of acclaimed French author Guy de Maupassant's second novel in 1885. The story is familiar, a young man basically screws over and just plain screws his way into high society, yet it's also considered one of the great books of its time and remains a perennial favourite in certain countries.
A lot of the novel's appeal however is de Maupassant's legendarily efficient and involving prose, a writing style that inspired countless others from W. Somerset Maugham to Friedrich Nietzsche, and one that will be very difficult to translate to the screen. It's also very much a classic French tale, so an English adaptation will likely get a hostile reception in western Europe even if it's good - if it's sub-par then god help anyone trying to do promotion for it over there.
Adapted by newbie scribe Rachel Bennette and directed by a pair of stage production veterans making their feature debut, the London and Budapest-shot period piece will have lots of raunchy appeal that "Twilight" moms might be nervous about their daughters seeing. One major scene is an orgy sequence with Pattinson's character which one source tells the press will be "tastefully done". That scene, shot at Kent's Crossness Pumping Station, will be drenched in candlelight and lace to disguise the fact the station is living up to its name in a different way than it was designed for.
More exciting is the cast with the brilliant Thomas, Thurman and Ricci ably supporting Pattinson who seems a better fit for this kind of material than some of his other projects. He's also joined by some under appreciated great British male talent like Philip Glenister ("Life on Mars," "Ashes to Ashes"), James Lance ("Absolute Power," "No Heroics") and Colm Meaney ("Star Trek: DS9," "The Commitments"). Set photos show off some exquisite looking costume design, but no footage is yet out and a release date isn't locked. At last report it'll be hitting the UK in August which means a likely late Summer/early Fall release in the States.

Robert Pattinson looks like a man in the adaptation of Sara Gruen’s best-seller Water for Elephants, acting opposite Oscar winners Reese Witherspoon (the beautiful performer his character, a veterinary student in charge of caring for a traveling circus’ animals, falls for during the Depression) and Christoph Waltz (Witherspoon’s husband, the troupe’s animal trainer). Director Francis Lawrence seems to be channeling Tim Burton, and it works. The music lures you in, as does the always affecting Hal Holbrook, who plays Pattinson’s aged character recalling the story of “the most famous circus disaster of all time.” The finest compliment you can give a trailer for an adaptation is that it makes you want to read the book. This one does it for me.

It really is a likable trailer: The production design and cinematography look great, the actors look great; hell, even that elephant looks pretty sharp. And with Sara Gruen’s much-loved best seller as the source material, it initially seems like an an unstoppable package.

'Water for Elephants': Can Robert Pattinson perform under the big top? Though Robert Pattinson has slowly begun to carve out his post-"Twilight" acting career, many critics still wonder whether the young star has the acting chops to successfully move past the world of vampires. While it wasn't a flop at the box office, Pattinson's latest non-"Twilight" film, "Remember Me," barely seemed to register with filmgoers. But next year, it seems the actor will finally have a real chance to show audiences what he's got: he'll star opposite Uma Thurman in "Bel Ami" and with Reese Witherspoon in April's "Water for Elephants," for which a trailer was released Thursday. We like the langorous, moody tone, though it's nearly impossible to judge from the trailer if Pattinson has any acting skills beyond that longing gaze thing. It's also mildly difficult to believe the 34-year-old Witherspoon could truly be wooed by a young man a decade her junior, but that's a conceit we think we'd be able to get over.One definite bright spot in the trailer? Hal Holbrook, who plays some wise old circus hand who mentors Pattinson's character. We loved the 85-year-old's performance in "Into the Wild" a few years ago, and it seems his presence here will add weight to the film beyond the romance at its center.

It took a little time for Robsten to come out of their shell, but the PDA was so worth the wait. And it looks like Breaking Dawn will definitely deliver for Twihards, Robstenites and anyone who loves romance. Awwwww!

During the Twilight Convention today in Orlando, some of the cast: Peter, Charlie, Dan, Alex, and Booboo Talk Rob and Kristen:
Peter Facinelli:
- He showed Kristen one of the chicken breasts he was practicing stitching on and she said "yeah, no, I wouldn't let you stitch me."
- During filming of Twilight he said that Rob said to him once that he didn't understand why they don't just eat people.
- During NM when Jasper attacks Bella and he's supposed to restrain him, he knocked his wig off by accident
- It was really him (Peter) that Rob/Edward threw to the ground during that scene (not doubles) & viceversa
Charlie Bewley and Dan Cudmore:
- Fav Twi character besides themselves: Charlie's fav is Edward. Dan's is the wolves.
- Charlie just called Rob 'Pussy whipped Pattinson'. [he was asked who his favorite character is and he said it used to be Jacob but now Its Edward cause he feels like Edward needs a little fire up his ass cause Jacob taking over..then he said "ya I like Edward..but not when he's like...idk...if he's like pussy whipped pattinson then no" or something like that and everyone died laughing and was like OOOOOO and he just smirked and shrugged..it was really funny]
Booboo Stewart:
- What was it like working with RPatttz: Booboo says he is really funny
- Someone asked if Booboo has listened to RPattz on the Eclipse DVD commentary. -lol
Alex Meraz:
Alex grabbed Kristen by the throat when filming the scene when she punches him. He thought he was being slick but instead he scared her in real life.

-During training scene in Eclipse when Emmett says "not in my nature", Kellan tripped over a bush and fell over
-He's miffed that Carlisle doesn't get to take his shirt off so he might ask Bill Condon if he can do a pantless scene for BD
Charlie and Dan:
- Charlie would prefer animal blood because it's more fun to chase around an animal.
- Human blood vs animal blood if they were real vampires? Dan says the real thing becausec he's not going to a bar and order a non-alcoholic drink
- Fav book in the series: Dan says Eclipse. Charlie says Breaking Dawn because Demetri gets to have some fun.
- Wow! moment while working in Twi Saga? For Charlie was seeing the magnitude of the fandom when he went to Montepulciano
